The NETGEAR® Digital Entertainer (EVA700), Powered by Syabas Software, Achieves Intel® Viiv™ Technology Verification
FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Syabas Technology
Inc, a leading middleware provider for home entertainment network
solutions, today announced that Syabas media player software is shipping
on the NETGEAR Digital Entertainer (EVA700), the first production Digital
Media Adapter (DMA) verified for use with Intel® Viiv™ technology-based
PCs. The NETGEAR Digital Entertainer (EVA700) allows users to access digital
media files from an Intel® Viiv™ technology-based PC on a television in another
room of the house via a home network. The device supports major digital home
interoperability standards and initiatives: DLNA, Intel NMPR v 2.0, and UPnP.
The Digital Entertainer also supports the remoting of select Intel® Viiv™
technology verified services and applications from Intel® Viiv™ technology-based
PCs throughout the digital home.
